#56: Patisserie G @ Millenia Walk

Patisserie G is a tiny cafe located at Millenia Walk, a neighbour to Commune Cafe. This cafe serves HEAVENLY cakes, which are really, to-die-for. Even though it does not have much room and might require some luck to get the seats, it is really worth the wait. I would highly recommend everyone to make the trip down just to try the cakes and I dare promise you will not regret!

It is a really tiny place with only about 4 tables. If not for the counter seats, we wouldn't have gotten our seats there immediately. It turned out to be a really good thing to sit in front of the bar because we had a full view of the barista creating each cup of latte art. It was a really nice touch to our experience.

The ambience was nice, really simple and unpretentious. A down-to-earth cafe serving pure delicious cakes.

The Food

We actually arrived at Patisserie G with high hopes for its KITTYCINO, which is probably the only 3D cafe art on sale in the whole Singapore. Who knew we were one week late - they removed this off their menu! Grace and I were really so disappointed!

We were still interested in its cute personalized 2D latte art, so we went ahead with a Cafe Latte. It was quite fragrant and not too strong. Very light and easy to savour.

For the cakes, we went ahead with its signature cake G Spot. As sinful as it sounds, this chocolate cake really sent us to cloud nine. The dark chocolate mouse and hazelnut praline layers were really super rich, tasty, fresh and of high quality! There is a crispy meringue layer which neutralized the creaminess, making it really nice to crunch on. It is really the best chocolate hazelnut praline cake I have tasted thus far and I beg you to try it! Note that it is a little heaty though! Sharing would be good!

The next victim for us was Lemon Cheesecake. I must say, it was the looks that first attracted me and who says we can't judge a book by its cover? The cake turned out to be REALLY SUPER AWESOME.

The lemon cheese layer was full of zesty flavour and a refreshing taste burst immediately on the tongue. It isn't too sticky, neither was it too loose. The texture of the cheese was really smooth and well blended. There is a thin jelly layer which was really lemony and interestingly elastic. The biscuit layer was okay, though some parts were a little bitter.

Overall, the Lemon Cheesecake was a BOMB and both of us loved it! I noticed that the Latte went really well with G Spot but was a little clashing with the Lemon Cheesecake! I would recommend you to pair a Latte with G Spot! I actually bookmarked Triomphe, which is their caramel mousse with hazelnut sponge cake. Unlucky day, it ran out too! I will definitely be back to try it.

The Menu

It has a simple menu of drinks which includes coffee, pot tea and average beverages.
Most coffee range from $5 - $7.
Its cakes are $9 on average (but they are SO worth it)

{ In a nutshell }

Patisserie G is definitely a place for the desserts expert. If you are on the search of the best cakes in Singapore, you might possibly find it in Pat G. They are no amateurs in their coffee as well, and are extremely creative in their latte art creations. The interior is nice and homely, making it the perfect place for you to enjoy your sweets. 10 thumbs up (if i had that many!) !
